Welcome to Nells in the Mitten.
So, funny story. You know how in elementary school, your teacher asks you what you want to be when you grow up?
I told my class that I wanted to “be a nothing, just like my mom.”
Yep. I’m sure my mom LOVED to hear that.
I didn’t mean that she was a “nothing,” not even in the least bit. This was back in the day before being a stay at home mom actually was a title. It was just normal to me.
My mom stayed home with my brother and I while we were growing up, until about the time we were in high school. Now, more than ever, I am realizing how much I want the luxury of being able to stay home with my daughter (and future babies!). I hope my mom knows I think about that often lately, and that I really think it’s a compliment!
This blog is a way to share my mom-ing life with you, regardless of what kind of mom you are – there are so many great things to be enjoyed!
PS I live in Michigan – that’s where the ‘mitten’ part comes from!
